"Kvetch" is a word of Yiddish origin, literally meaning "to squeeze." Idiomatically, it roughly means "to complain."
"ette" is from Smurfette, the only female smurf until the creation of Sassette.

Didn't hate the gift, it was very thoughtful but as I explained, I already purchased almost the identical thing and no need for two. And tell me this, when was the last time I was able to pick out some item of clothing for you? (didn't think so). It was a great day and the cake was delish!
